E-MRS Science Communication

The European Materials Research Society, a body of the IUMRS is engaged in promoting the dissemination and discussion of European actions that globally matters to our research.

  1. In the frame of the project Materials Common House (MATCH), it is promoting in the next E-MRS fall meeting to be held in Warsaw a workshop on Road mapping Materials needs & Technologies for a Strong European Industry 19th September 2016 (see attach). In the project HEritage Resilience Against CLimate Events on Site (HERACLES) whose main objective is to design, validate and promote responsive systems/solutions for effective resilience of Cultural Heritage (CH) against climate change effects, E-MRS will promote global exchange of knowledge acquired towards key stake holders connected to cultural heritage, such as museum of city halls. In the project Nanotechnology Mutual Learning Action Plan for Transparent and Responsible Understanding of Science and Technology (NANO2ALL) the aim is the establishment of Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) policy and governance on nanotechnologies, based on the transparent co-production of knowledge, driven by the needs of the society and engaging all relevant stakeholders - via inclusive participatory approaches and activities of a dedicated Mobilization and Mutual Learning Action.   4. In the project i-Flexis the target is to develop an innovative, reliable, large-area and low-cost integrated X-ray sensor system based on heterogeneous inorganic, organic and hybrid components, away from silicon technology or other similar covalent materials based devices/systems.
