Annual Meetings:

Two or three meetings each year, average attendance is about 500 (from 50 to 1200). At the larger conferences (attendance >500, 10-25 symposia), many areas are covered, such as structural materials, functional materials, material processing and their engineering applications. The smaller meetings usually includes four to six symposia and may focus on a single topic, such as automobile materials. Most of the conferences and symposia are academic meetings; a few are focused on materials applications or materials research management.

• "Materials Dictionary" (in Chinese) including more than 8000 phrases, first printed in 1994.
