Topics of meetings include semiconductor materials, functional materials, materials characterization and semiconductor processes

• 2002 Spring Meeting
  155 papers and 4 invited talks were presented at the 2002 Spring Meeting held at Hanyang University in Ansan, Korea from May 17-18. The attendance was about 430. The subject areas covered were the metallic materials, electronic and magnetic materials, polymers, ceramics and composite materials.
• The 4th MRS Korea-Mexico International Symposium on Advanced Materials was held in Daejon, Korea from June 3 to June 7. The topics of symposium were Nanomaterials, Nano-Magnetic materials, Biomaterials and Advanced materials. The symposium consists of 24 invited talks and 26 posters. For oral presentation, there were 11 papers presented by Mexican scientists and 9 papers by Korean scientists as well as 2 papers by Czechoslovak scientists and 1 paper by a Chinese scientist.
• 2002 Fall Meeting
  177 papers and 8 invited talks were presented at the 2002 Fall Meeting held at Paichai University in Taejon, Korea from Nov. 1-2. The attendance was about 520. The subject areas covered were the metallic materials, electronic and magnetic materials, polymers, ceramics and composite materials.

Publications:

MRS-Korea publishes "Korean Journal of Materials Research" twelve times a year with approximately 170 papers per year. An international bimonthly journal, "Metals and Materials International", is published jointly by The Korean Institute of Metals and Materials, The Corrosion Science Society of Korea, The Korean Society for Technology of Plasticity and Materials Research Society of Korea.
